MeriJayd O’Connor, CST-D, LMT, MTI - (

MeriJayd O'Connor specializes in Advanced CranioSacral Therapy for pediatrics and adults. MeriJayd earned a B.A. in Theater from The University of Texas and has extensive experience as a children's dance instructor with Ballet Austin. She was a massage therapy instructor at Texas Healing Arts for 8 years. Her training in CST is from the Upledger Institute where she is certified at the Diplomate level. She is a teaching assistant, certified presenter and study group leader.

Gracie Padron - (

Gracie has been in practice for 10 years, and loves helping her clients find relaxation, experience pain relief, as well as address wear and tear on the body due to athletic training or life in general!

Kevyn McAnlis - (

Certified Yoga Instructor specializing in Yoga Tune-Up.
She teaches a targeted self massage with corrective exercises to bring awareness to underused and misused muscles.
Kevyn teaches group and privates at Birdsong.

Paul Kevin Smith - (

Paul has a Master of Education Degree in Kinesiology from U.T. Austin, is a Yoga Alliance Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (500-hour level), an IAYT-Certified Yoga Therapist, and an ACSM Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist and Certified Exercise Physiologist. He has completed certification programs in Hatha and Vinyasa Krama Yoga, Integrative Yoga Therapy, TRX Suspension Training, TriggerPoint Foam Rolling and Myofascial Compression Techniques, and Functional Movement Screening Levels 1 & 2. Paul is also a Fitness Professional at Lake Austin Spa Resort, and an Adjunct Professor in the Personal Fitness Trainer Program at Austin Community College.

John Bullard - (

John Bullard taught Martial Arts for 37 years in Austin, Tx. We are lucky to have him share his knowledge of the ancient practice of Taoist Yoga.
He holds group class and can be contacted for privates lessons in Taoist Yoga, Meditation, and general exercise for spinal health.

Emily Galusha (

Another one of my favorite artists who designed the Birdsong Bodywork and Pilates logo, Emily Galusha, is not only talented at graphic design, but also art. (If you book a massage, you’ll get to see one of her lovely ‘Undercurrent’ piece in the therapy room!)

Katrina began training to become a Pilates instructor in 2013 in Brooklyn, NY. She was drawn to Balanced Body's respectful approach to teaching the work of Joseph Pilates. She loves the classical repertoire and enjoys the challenge of tailoring it to each client.
In 2016 Katrina completed the Prenatal and Postnatal Pilates Specialist Course offered by the Women's Center for Fitness. She is also trained in Diastasis Recti Recovery.

Kym received her first Pilates certification in 2002 and continues to study and expand her knowledge including specializing in Diastasis Recti Recovery. She also holds a Certificate in Prenatal & Postpartum Exercise Design. Kym loves empowering others to develop their inner-strength, enabling them to stay active and pain-free. Jessica Galfas

Six years ago Jessica was diagnosed with a spinal herniation and protrusion. Unwilling to accept the limited options for symptom relief doctors provided, Jessica searched for better ways to manage stress and treat the root cause of pain. Pilates and yoga helped for years when one day Jessica found herself unable to lift her right arm above shoulder height. Too many hours clicking a mouse, holding a cell phone, and gripping a steering wheel had her well on her way to frozen shoulder when Jessica found corrective exercise modalities that restored her mobility while building strength.
